Diabetes, Type 2

Insulin is required for sugar from the blood to be stored in the liver. Type 2 diabetes is when the body either does not make enough insulin, or it is not recognized by the body and not used. Type 2 diabetes is often referred to as insulin resistant diabetes for this reason.

Type 2 diabetes is genetically mediated and overweight or obese people are most at risk. However, anyone can get the disease. Some of the symptoms include:
Increased thirst and hunger
Dry mouth
Nausea and occasional vomiting
Abdominal pain
Increase in frequency of urination and infection
Unexplained weight loss
Fatigue and heavy breathing
Blurred vision
