ADD/ADHD

ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) affect many children. It can often be continued on into adult life, where the individual finds it difficult to have any social relationships.

The exact cause of ADHD and ADD is not known, however, genetic factors are likely to be responsible. Ongoing research is focused on identifying genes that cause a person to be susceptible to ADHD and ADD

The symptoms of ADHD and ADD include:
Having a short attention span and being easily distracted.
Impulsiveness; this can cause a person to do dangerous or unwise things without thinking out the consequences.
Inappropriate or excessive activity.

These symptoms affect people in all age groups who have the disorder, but typical behaviour varies by age. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor for more details.
