Birth Control

Birth control, also known as contraceptives, is any device which prevents pregnancy. There are many different methods of contraception available.

Male and female condoms can be used to create a physical barrier against sperm.

Women often use hormonal birth control, such as the pill, or other mechanical devices such as a diaphragm.

A more permanent form of contraception is surgery. Males can have a vasectomy which prevents sperm from being released. Females can have their tubes tied which blocks the sperms pathway to the egg.

It should be noted however, that no method is 100% reliable. Talk to your pharmacist today for more information on birth control.
