Sunburn

Sunlight can help our mental outlook and help us feel healthier. For people with arthritis, the sun's warmth can help relieve some of their physical pain. However, too much sunlight can be harmful to the skin, causing immediate problems as well as problems that may develop years later.

Sunburn is infact skin damage from the sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays. Sunburn causes mild pain and redness, but only affects the outer layer of skin. Severe sunburn can cause blistering, swelling of the skin and fever. At the same time there may also be symptoms of
Dizziness
Headaches
Nausea

Severe burns may require special burn cream and burn dressings. Ask your pharmacist for advice.
