Melanoma

Sun exposure is the biggest cause of melanoma and other skin cancers, but early diagnosis and treatment can increase the survival rate from melanoma.

Family history is most likely to be the cause of melanoma if you haven't had excessive exposure to the sun. Nearly one in 10 people with the disease have a family history of it. You may also be at a greater risk if you have a large number of noncancerous birthmarks.

If you see unusual changes in your skin see your local health professional as early as possible. For more information on Melanoma, talk to your pharamcist or doctor today.
