Kidney Stones

Kidney stones are the result of crystallised minerals and salts which are found in urine.

The stones can form in both kidneys, and are more common in men. If the stone is of a small size, then it is possible that is will pass out the body painlessly upon urinating. However, a large kidney stone can cause:
Intense pain in the back, or side, of your abdomen, or occasionally in your groin,
Nausea
Blood in your urine
Cloudy, or smelly urine, accompanied by a burning sensation upon urination
High fever

If you have a kidney stone, go and see your doctor immediately.
