Infertility and Reproduction

Infertility is the inability for a couple to become pregnant after a year of steady unprotected intercourse. This may be due to a fertility problem with individual partners, or possibly both. An infertility problem reduces the chances of a couple having a child, but it its still possible.

In men, the most common causes of infertility are:
Low sperm count
Low sperm motility
Incorrect formation of the sperm
Blocked sperm ducts

The primary reason for infertility in women is lack of ovulation (release of eggs from the ovary). The major cause of this is a condition called polycystic ovary disease

To decrease the chances of miscarriages, females can take folic acid supplements. Talk to your pharmacist today for more details.
